The Fountaine Inn is two minutes walk from the cottage.

The picturesque little town of Grassington is only one mile away and is the local centre of Upper Wharfedale with every kind of shop and several attractive eating places.

The nearest large town is Skipton, just 8 miles away. It has a railway station, a castle and many shops. A street market is available four days a week.

There are many beautiful walks straight from the cottage and a little further away there is Bolton Abbey, Fountains Abbey, Malham Cove and Ilkley, Harrogate, York and Leeds.

The Lake District can be reached in one and a half hours.

A bus service between Linton and Skipton runs ten times a day each way.
