I just had
to write and share this with you. A friend at work
struggled into the staff room and plonked two carrier
bags of bananas on to the table. "Help
yourselves!" she sighed. Her latest attempt at
Internet shopping had resulted in six bags of bananas
being delivered instead of six bananas! As she
wasn't in when the shopping arrived she was unable to
rectify the mistake. This wasn't the first time
disaster had struck. She had us in stitches with
the tale of the lamb chop; she thought she'd ordered a
leg of lamb but got confused with the weight and ended up
with one lamb chop to feed the family at the weekend.
The children also looked on in amazement when they
discovered that there was only one bag of crisps to share
instead of a multi pack! My friend is going away
with the extended family at Christmas and for some
strange reason they've put her in charge of the Internet
shopping - they could be in for an interesting time!
