CHANCEL

A medieval altar slab, with its consecration crosses, is under the Altar.

Unusually, the four sedilia are on one level. They have morris gaming boards cut in them. Double Piscina in the fifth compartment with "squint". Sedilia back is over the remains of Wootton's brass, and is therefore post 1417.

The choir stalls are original and include 20 late 14th century misericords, one with a likeness of the College cook (with meat hook and ladle), and another the shield of Guy de Mone, last Rector and a friend of the Founder.

Archbishop Courtenay's brass indent. It was the Archbishop’s wish that he be buried in All Saints Church but it is not certain that he was. As Archbishop it would be usual for him to be buried in Canterbury Cathedral.

Altar reredos of 1904, Screen of 1897, memorial gifts from the Monckton family. Wall painting of 1908.

Grocyn, the Renaissance scholar and Master of the College of Priests, is buried here (died 1519), but the location is long forgotten.

Sanctuary, North side. Under and indent lies Richard Woodvillem forbear of Elizabeth (Queen of Edward IV), and her brother. Lord Rivers, Caxton's patron.
